Curmudgeonly, contentious and correct (more times than not), the 'Dark Elf' is a writer, composer and musician well-known on many sites and forums across the World Wide Web,and the decidely odd, Tolkienesque pseudonym 'Morthoron the Dark Elf' has been in use since the Dark Ages of the Internet (the last decade of the 20th century).
But enough of referring to myself in the third person. Musically speaking, I prefer progressive rock, blues, jazz-fusion, folk and folk-rock (American, British and Irish), and classical music (preferrably Bach, Vivaldi, Mozart and Stravinsky).
From a literary standpoint, I enjoy the novels of Tolkien, Dickens and Victor Hugo, the poetry of W.B. Yeats and T.S. Eliot, and the historical works of Barabra Tuchman and Will Durant.
