Eve came out in 1994, which is the same year Kurt Cobain suicided, so the grunge/alternative scene had been going strong for a good 3 or 4 years at that point. There is a noticable detectable influence from the instrument saturated genre, compared to their more vocal, less "loud" later music. Several of the lyric sheets can be interpreted in a very spiritual manner.
For a couple months I've been prodding through a book called "St. Francis of Assisi" by G.K. Chesterton. The reason I'm reading this is Rich Mullins apparently was affected by Francis' life and influenced to a lot of his convictions by Francis. Mullins and his friends called themselves "The Kid Brothers of St. Frank." What follows is a brief review of this book.

I'm not going to talk about the sitcom, I'm going to talk about the culture of Friends. I'm 25, which means I was 15 when Friends got started, and my formulative years were spent in the shadow of Friends culture.
