Michael Dunham works as a consultant and advisor to start-ups, top enterprise accounts and entreprenuers around the world. His focus is the intersection of business and technology - helping to build strategies for new products, technologies and adoption.
Mike came to technology from business management - managing services and personnel in several complex organizations. He joined his brother and a small team helping to bring modern computerized testing to jet engine control modules with the then new Z80 chip and custom applications that sequenced HP test equipment. When that company was acquired, Mike moved on to help other companies develop and run business computer environments using personal computers and early local area network technololgies.
From there he moved with technology into business telephony and networking, consulting on some of the earliest Internet-based portals for the State of California and began a series of seminars about the strategic value of networks and computers to business that was given to executives throughout the Americas and Europe.
Moving to the application side of technology, Mike began as a project manager for Software AG and went on to work with several startups and to consult for many of the top brands in the industry.
Having worked in many sides of the industry - today Mr Dunham brings a wide view of the value and trade-offs in the industry and experience in all sizes of organizations. He has settled with Scio Consulting as their Principal Consultant, helping their clients to plan and build SaaS and on-demand products. He is an advisor with several start-ups, writes articles for his blog as well as producting a series of podcasts and webinars covering best practices for vendors in "as a Service" and cloud-computing businesses.
