Marc Berry is a freelance blogger and WordPress Theme designer who likes to make a statement. He is passionate about the power and potential of the Internet to connect people from all walks of life to each other. He blogs about the social internet, the growth of online media and emerging trends at techne-eikon.com
My online interests include blogging, Social Media, and a growing fascination with online TV. No, not the “Fox News” stuff, but independent productions made by housewives, average Joe’s, and small firms that would never get a shot on the big networks. Who hasn’t dreamed of having their own TV show? With the power of the internet, it is now possible, and people are doing it.
I like blogging and Social Media because, despite the cutting edge technologies involved, it is actually a return to some very old school roots, roots that reach out and touch someone. It brings users out of the demographic spreadsheets and returns them to their rightful place as human beings. It is an age old truism that people do not buy from companies, they buy from other people. The other truism is that people do not buy products, they buy solutions to problems. Solutions are best delivered by trusted friends. In other words, people. And that's what the new internet is all about.
