She also worked as the technology editor for Technorati for a time. She is an experienced (but youthful!) journalist and have written for such newspapers as the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times and the Los Angeles Times. She spent 17 years at the Sun-Times as an entertainment writer and dance critic, although she also wrote about the Internet and technology too. She also freelanced for many publications; she has been on WBEZ-FM, the local NPR station Chicago, and a panelist on "Chicago Tonight," on WTTW-TV, the PBS affiliate.
