My name is Irvin F. Cohen. I am 65 years old, am a combat-wounded, Marine veteran of the Vietnam War, and have a B.A. in the Classics (Latin and Greek and my academic language is French; I also studied as an undergrad in both Paris and Rome). I am a lifelong, intellectual, philosophic, polemical and ideological conservative. No Johnny-come-lately "Neo-con" am I. Furthermore I am a thoroughly unabashed and unapologetic conservative for I am one who makes absolutely no pretenses whatsoever, nor apologies nor excuses for my conservativism - nor do I see any reason why I ought, should or must. I am also a conservative voice crying out in the wilderness and an ofttimes accurate Cassandra-like figure, who of course goes totally unheeded and unlistened to; and who has toiled in the desiccated vineyards of anonymity for almost the past forty years to date. Consequently the purpose of my web/blog site is to give voice to my "voice," which I maintain has been for far too long all but ignored. I also maintain that that is truly worthy of your eyes and ears and interest as well. I am many things; a serious intellectual, philosophical and polemical essayist, poet and satirist. So I only hope that you dear readers, will enjoy my efforts herein; and may my essays, satires and poems truly enliven your minds, hearts and souls; and also uplift, arouse, stimulate and inspire thee too.
