My name is Drew, and I will be studying medicine in New York beginning in August. I have spent the last 4 years as a chemist, most recently as the head of chemistry for a biotech corporation near Boston, MA. I discovered a love of cooking once I finally began living on my own, and found a wonderful sense of enjoyment in learning new skills in the kitchen. My blog, http://fooddrs.com, is targeted to individuals who want to cook healthy food, but are on a tight budget. I provide detailed instructions, great photos, and helpful videos to make learning some of these skills as painless as possible.
When writing, I try to blend my interest in cooking and food with my science and medical background. Whether it's musings about E. coli outbreaks in Europe, the chemistry of non-stick cookware, or a delicious, healthy recipe I've discovered, I try to write for a broad audience. I hope you enjoy my posts!
