Yanks are a nation of bloated slobs who keep cramming it in. The number of overweight yanks has doubled since 1980 and obesity now ranks as 2nd to smoking in terms of number of preventable deaths every year.

Ingersoll introduces an absurdity and then effectively piles on observation after contradiction to demonstrate what tripe it all is. Short sentences, staccato-like rhythm and repetition are all tools that he uses to drive home his point. In fact, Ingersoll almost seems to ape the mantra-like style that many down home preachers of his day likely used, and this would be in line with his clever approach throughout that is laced with mocking wit and irony. Far from adhering to a respectful tone, Ingersoll implements the only kind of language that can be used to counter such patent absurdity that has nonetheless convinced so many ignoramuses through the ages. A common conclusion that Ingersoll arrives at when trying to understand the thinking of those who preach, defend and worship christianity is that of insanity.

  • The Killer Inside Me 4 The Killer Inside Me--by Jim Thompson

As his father was a physician in the small town in Texas where they lived, he promptly castrated his son in hopes he could lead a somewhat normal life(?). • Expressway Skytrain & Subway Map of Bangkok 3 Bangkok's New Underground Train

Plenty of head-space for travellers from foreign countries and rows of seats running lengthways so that if you do snag a seat you will be facing the person across from you. I approve of this choice as the odds are good that a Thai tart in a short skirt will be sitting on the opposite side.

The passage where anarchy has taken hold and a tenant barbecues an Alsatian on a balcony is particularly memorable.

It's as if he, during the time they were filming those scenes that make up the pathetic resolution, was on a David Lynch film-watching binge and decided he would pay tribute to the modern day cinematic surrealist.
