Denise Blackman

I guess I'm just your average gal next door with a passion for animals. I have spent most of my life around them, training them, and just being friends with them! My background in Arabian horses led to my first real animal related career as a trainer and riding instructor. From there I began studying animal behavior and training dogs as well as horses. My husband Larry is also a real animal lover and a dog trainer himself. He has trained our Black Labrador, Max, so well, I think his next trick might be writing his own blog! This blog is dedicated to my two best friends, Larry, my husband, and Max, my Black Lab, who have endured many tv dinners and late kibble and a somewhat messy house while I was buried in research. Without you I would be lost. I love you both. I also want to thank my lovely daughters Krissy and Koryn who also share a love of animals. I am proud of both of you. And we are now looking forward to the newest member of our animal loving family, my granddaughter who will make her debut in this world in July!
