In addition to his activities as a Blogcritics editor, Clavos has carved himself a niche as a self-employed used boat salesman in South Florida. He has lived abroad off and on since childhood, says he's fluent in Spanish and amuses waiters and cabdrivers with his Spanish-riddled Portuguese, Italian and French as well. Clavos is an avid boating enthusiast. He recently married the most beautiful self-styled "Boat Girl" in the world, moved back aboard his ancient trawler, "Second Act," and has resumed the liveaboard lifestyle, with neither foot on dry land.
