Clair Schwan is an early self retired technical and management consultant who enjoys homesteading with his sweetheart on the prairie just outside of Cheyenne, Wyoming. He's focused on self reliance, frugal living and enjoying a slower pace life with his Boston Terrier buddy "the Dude."
He writes four websites and two blogs that address the frugal homestead life, starting and operating your own enterprises, libertarian principles, vegetable gardening and greenhouses, self reliance and self sufficiency, and life with his Boston Terrier companion.
Having visited every state in the country and nearly every continent on the planet, Mr. Schwan is quite satisfied with sinking down some roots in the form of his Wyoming homestead and doing a little fishing in the winter months at his fishing and hunting club in Texas.
In addition to writing, his passions include motorcycling, vegetable gardening, languages, do it yourself projects, and local politics. Mr. Schwan is a registered lobbyist in Wyoming and a former candidate for Wyoming's House of Representatives. He lobbies for core American values such as limited government, individual freedom, free enterprise and fiscal conservatism.
Mr. Schwan is a long time supporter of the CATO Institute and the Institute for Justice, and a life member of the 2nd Amendment Foundation and the National Rifle Association. He is also founder of Americans for Liberty and Limited Government and a registered Libertarian in the State of Wyoming.
