And the Scribe goes home with...

Winners of the Ninth Annual Scribe Awards Announced

On Friday, July 10, a couple of hours before the Eisners, which honor achievement in American comics, were handed out, the International Association of Media Tie-In Writers awarded their Scribe Awards in Room 23ABC.  According to their website,

IAMTW’s Scribe Awards honor licensed works that tie in with other media such as television, movies, gaming, or comic books. They include original works set in established universes, and adaptations of stories that have appeared in other formats and cross all genres. Tie-in works run the gamut from westerns to mysteries to procedurals, from science fiction to fantasy to horror, from action and adventure to superheroes.

For this year’s awards, the  work must have been published for the first time in the calendar year of 2014. The judges, which can be any member of the IAMTW, read all the entrants in a designated category and select both the nominees and the winners.
