If you’re looking for some rap that you can play for your grandmother, then Will Smith’s new greatest hits CD is the ticket to punch.
Smith is poppy, short on ghetto slang (and no profanity) and witty. Songs like “Men in Black,” “Wild, Wild West,” “Get Jiggy with It” and “Fresh Prince of Bel Air” are catchy and familiar.
But listening to this CD for more than 20 minutes is likely to give you an insulin rush. It’s the Archies or 1910 Fruitgum Co. for a new generation.
