It’s 2011! No flying cars yet, but you can beam video games directly onto your Wii or DSi thanks to download services, so that’ll have to do. And speaking of those games, there’s a whole bunch of new ones this week, including an indie game compilation from Jason Rohrer and sneezing animals.

This week’s games are as follows:

On DSiWare this week, we have Alt-Play: Jason Rohrer Anthology (Sabarasa, 1-2 players, 200 DSi Points), Word Searcher 2 (Digital Leisure, 1 player, 500 DSi Points) and Music On: Drums (Abylight, 1 player, 500 DSi Points). Alt-Play is a collection of three indie games by Jason Rohrer in one neat bundle: Passage, Gravitation, and Between. A must-buy if you like games that are a bit outside the box. Word Searcher 2 is more word searching fun (yay!), while Music On: Drums lets you play around with over 150 different kinds of percussion sounds to make some fresh beats.

WiiWare has a few titles this week: Sneezies (Chillingo, 1 player, 500 Wii Points), Ghost Mania (Legendo Entertainment, 1-2 players, Wii Points) and a demo of previous WiiWare release Robox (DreamBox Games, 1 player). Sneezies is a puzzle game where you use sneezing powder to make creatures stuck in bubbles free themselves by … well, sneezing. Ghost Mania is also a puzzle game that features colored ghosts you have to match up. It’s like … well, any other falling block puzzle game.

No Virtual Console this week. Apparently, it’s hungover from its New Year’s party with WiiWare and DSiWare.

Sneezies, Ghost Mania and the Robox demo are available for download off the Wii Shop Channel, while Alt-Play: Jason Rohrer Anthology, Word Searcher 2 and Music On: Drums are available for download off the DSi Shop Channel.

Check back next week for the latest round of digital releases for the Wii and DSi. Until then, happy gaming!
