This week on the Nintendo download services, we’ve got a sequel to a Game Boy Color game that has a large following, a Virtual Consoloe release (!) and games for those who are quite young to help ‘em learn. Quite a diverse line-up, if you ask me.

This week’s games are as follows:

On DSiWare this week, we have Shantae: Risky’s Revenge (WayForward, 1 player, 1,200 DSi Points) and Rummikub (Games Factory Online, 1-4 players, 800 DSi Points). Shantae: Risky’s Revenge is the sequel to the Game Boy Color cult hit, setting Shantae on an adventure to take down the evil Risky Boots once more. Rummikub is a DSi version of a board game where you have to match pairs of numerical tiles together to form certain value pairs.

WiiWare has two titles this week: Racers’ Islands – Crazy Racers (Zallag, 1-4 players, 1,000 Wii Points) and Learning with the PooYoos: Episode 3 (Lexis Numerique, 1 player, 500 Wii Points). Racers’ Islands – Crazy Racers is a game that involves a lot of driving and a little bit of shooting. That’s why it’s crazy! Meanwhile, Learning with the PooYoos: Episode 3 is the latest in a series of educational Wii games for kids ages 3-6.

The Virtual Console has a game this week in this universe. And what is it? Fatal Fury 3: Road to the Final Victory (Neo Geo, 1-2 players, 900 Wii Points). New fighting styles and new characters are the highlights of the third game in the Fatal Fury series from SNK. If you like fighting games, give it a look!

Fatal Fury 3: Road to the Final Victory was released in April on the Japanese Virtual Console and in August on the PAL Virtual Console. It, along with Racers’ Islands – Crazy Racers and Learning with the PooYoos: Episode 3, is available for download off the Wii Shop Channel, while Shantae: Risky’s Revenge and Rummikub are available for download off the DSi Shop Channel.

Check back next week for the latest round of digital releases for the Wii and DSi. Until then, happy gaming!
