Halfway through July, and we still don’t have a Virtual Console title this month. Seriously. I’m starting to worry a bit, even with all the WiiWare and DSiWare games and with the news Capcom plans to bring over more classic arcade titles for the Wii. This week sees eight games in total on the download services:

On DSiWare this week, we have Petz Kittens (Ubisoft, 1 player, 800 DSi Points), Scrabble Tools (EA, 1-4 players, 500 DSi Points), Hospital Havoc (Hands-on Mobile, 1 player, 500 DSi Points), Happy Birthday Mart (Pixel Federation, 1 player, 500 DSi Points), and Crazy Sudoku (dtp entertainment, 1-2 players, 200 DSi Points). Plenty of “casual” sim games this week: Petz Kittens deals with kittens, Hospital Havoc is Diner Dash in a hospital, and Happy Birthday Mart has you running a store selling gifts to animals. Crazy Sudoku is another DSi Sudoku title, while Scrabble Tools is a training game. For Scrabble. Yup.

WiiWare has three titles this week: AquaSpace (Nintendo, 1 player, 600 Wii Points), Furry Legends (Gamelion, 1 player, 1,000 Wii Points), and HoopWorld (Virtual Toys, 1-2 player, 1,000 Wii Points).  Coming from Nintendo, AquaSpace is an aquarium program where you can raise pet fish. Furry Legends is a platformer where you play as any of a number of furry little balls with unique abilities. HoopWorld is a three-on-three arcade-style bafsketball title.

The Virtual Console is still on vacation. Come back!

AquaSpace, Furry Legends, and HoopWorld are available for download off the Wii Shop Channel, while Petz Kittens, Scrabble Tools, Hospital Havoc, Happy Birthday Mart, and Crazy Sudoku are available for download off the DSi Shop Channel.

Check back next week for the latest round of digital releases for the Wii and DSi. Until then, happy gaming!
