This week on the digital download services of Nintendo, our theme is games with obvious titles. Or I should say, with titles that basically tell you a lot about the game you'll be buying. And it's not just one or two games this week: it's almost every single one, especially on WiiWare.

This week's releases are as follows:

On DSiWare this week, we have Flametail (Nintendo, 1 player, 500 DSi Points), Don't Cross the Line (Aksys Games, 1 player, 200 DSi Points), Fire Panic (Playtainment, 1 player, 200 DSi Points), and Flips: The Magic Faraway Tree (Electronic Arts, 1 player, 500 DSi Points). Flametail has you burning space junk with your space pod's flaming tail (thus, the name) and is Nintendo's new bite-sized puzzle title. Don't Cross the Line is pretty simple: draw lines between shapes, but don't let those lines cross. Fire Panic has you drawing routes to get your fire engine to a fire as quickly as possible without causing trouble. Flips: The Magic Faraway Tree is yet another children's e-book from EA, this time featuring a fantasy tale in which four kids visit various magic lands.

WiiWare has three titles this week: Reel Fishing Challenge II (Natsume, 1 player, 500 Wii Points), Lead the Meerkats (Lapland Studio, 1 player, 1,000 Wii Points), and Zoo Disc Golf (Sonalysts, Inc., 1-4 players, 1,000 Wii Points). Reel Fishing Challenge II is a sequel to Reel Fishing Challenge, which means more fishing. Lead the Meerkats puts you in command of a pack of meerkats, leading them to safety. Zoo Disc Golf is … well, it's disc golf played in a zoo.

The Virtual Console is asleep this week. Shhhhhhhh.

Reel Fishing Challenge II, Lead the Meerkats, and Zoo Disc Golf are available for download off the Wii Shop Channel, while Flametail, Don't Cross the Line, Fire Panic, and Flips: The Magic Faraway Tree are available for download off the DSi Shop Channel.

Check back next week for the latest round of digital releases for the Wii and DSi. Until then, happy gaming!
