It appears Nintendo's trying to make up for February a bit through their March releases. We've had Mega Man 10 and Final Fantasy II (or IV, if you insist) in the past two weeks alone. This week brings a third title of note and it's on the Virtual Console, though WiiWare's not to shabby either. Even DSiWare has quite a bit of solid content this week.

This week's games are as follows:

On DSiWare this week, we have four games: Zoo Frenzy (Gameloft, 1 player, 500 DSi Points), 101 MiniGolf World (Teyon, 1-8 players, 500 DSi Points), Battle of Giants: Dinosaurs — Fight for Survival (Ubisoft, 1-2 players, 800 DSi Points), and Car Jack Streets (Tag Games, 1 player, 800 DSi Points). Zoo Frenzy is a zoo sim game replete with minigames and raising critters. 101 MiniGolf World is a miniature golf game that features, guess what, 101 holes! Battle of Giants: Dinosaurs — Fight for Survival lets you take control of a custom dinosaur as you find fossils to power-up and, guess what, fight other dinosaurs! Car Jack Streets is a port of an iPhone game that's in the same vein as Grand Theft Auto.

WiiWare has but two games this week: Rage of the Gladiator (Ghostfire Games, 1 player, 1,000 Wii Points) and Triple Shot Sports (The Code Monkeys Ltd., 1-2 players, 500 Wii Points). Rage of the Gladiator pits you as a gladiator fighting against mythical beasts from a first-person perspective. It also supports MotionPlus! Yay! Triple Shot Sports, meanwhile, focuses on three target sports: archery, pistol shooting and free rifle shooting.

There's just one game on the Virtual Console this week and it's yet another big one: Castlevania: Rondo of Blood (TurboGrafx-16, 1 player, 900 Wii Points). Long, long awaited for U.S. audiences and the predecessor of the popular Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Rondo of Blood did get a PSP release of sorts as part of Dracula X Chronicles, but this is the first console-based release in the U.S. It costs a bit more than normal due to the Virtual Console's "import tax," as this game is in Japanese, but this is probably still the cheapest way to go if you want the Rondo of Blood experience, as I'm assuming you've got a Wii already if you're reading this.

Castlevania: Rondo of Blood debuted in April 2008 on the Japanese Virtual Console. It, along with Rage of the Gladiator and Triple Shot Sports, is available for download off the Wii Shop Channel, while Zoo Frenzy, 101 MiniGolf World, Battle of Giants: Dinosaurs — Fight for Survival, and Car Jack Streets are available for download off the DSi Shop Channel.

Check back next week for the latest round of digital releases for the Wii and DSi. Until then, happy gaming!
