This week on the Virtual Console, WiiWare, and DSiWare, there are a lot of endings. The last game starring Alex Kidd, a last trip to Monkey Island, and hopefully the last time a game gets released on both the DSiWare and WiiWare channels on the same day. Especially if it's just another solitaire game they're releasing. Come on guys, we have enough of those and poker games already!

This week's games are as follows:

On DSiWare this week, we have five games: True Swing Golf Express (Nintendo, 1 player, 800 DSi Points), Legends of Exidia (Gameloft, 1 player, 800 DSi Points), Downtown Texas Hold 'Em (EA, 1-5 players, 500 DSi Points), Move Your Brain Rollway Puzzle (Assoria, 1 player, 500 DSi Points), and 5 in 1 Solitaire (Digital Leisure, 1 player, 200 DSi Points). True Swing Golf Express is the downloadable, smaller version of a 2006 golf game from Nintendo, in case you missed it then. Legends of Exidia is an RPG that may once have been a Might & Magic game, but Gameloft's changed up the story a bit. Otherwise, it's pretty much the same and a decent RPG. Downtown Texas Hold 'Em is yet another poker game, this time from EA and supporting up to 5 people. Move Your Brain Rollway Puzzle (Assoria, 1 player, 500 DSi Points) uses the DSi camera to detect movement and tilting to move a ball through many different mazes. 5 in 1 Solitaire (Digital Leisure, 1 player, 200 DSi Points) is an assortment of five different solitaire games that you can take on the go.

On WiiWare, we've got Tales of Monkey Island Chapter 5: Rise of the Pirate God (Telltale, 1 player, 1,000 Wii Points), Tumblebugs 2 (GameShastra, 1 player, 800 Wii Points), and 5 in 1 Solitaire (Digital Leisure, 1 player, 500 Wii Points). Tales of Monkey Island Chapter 5: Rise of the Pirate God is the final chapter of the Tales of Monkey Island saga that's played out both here and on the PC It's been a pretty good series and I'm sad to see it go, because who knows when Monkey Island will be back. Tumblebugs 2 is apparently like Zuma and the sequel to a PC game I've never heard of, and we've already gone over 5 in 1 Solitaire for the DSi. The Wii version's not going to be any different.

There's just one game on the Virtual Console this week and it's Alex Kidd in Shinobi World (Sega Master System, 1 player, 500 Wii Points). The best game in the Alex Kidd series graphically, this game also marked Alex's last starring role, as he was quickly overtaken with the launch of the Genesis and some blue spiked rodent. This game originally wasn't even supposed to star Alex: Sega added him during the development process.

Alex Kidd in Shinobi World debuted in December on the PAL Virtual Console. It, along with Tales of Monkey Island Chapter 5: Rise of the Pirate God, Tumblebugs 2, and 5 in 1 Solitaire, is available for download off the Wii Shop Channel, while True Swing Golf Express, Legends of Exidia, Downtown Texas Hold 'Em, Move Your Brain Rollway Puzzle, and 5 in 1 Solitaire are available for download off the DSi Shop Channel.

Check back next week for the latest round of digital releases for the Wii and DSi. Until then, happy gaming!
