WiiWare finally hits 100 today! No, not years or weeks old. I'm talking about 100 titles on the Wii's downloadable game service, and for the 100th title, they have sure picked a great game. But the 100th title is not alone this week, two other titles join it, along with a classic Commodore 64 title on the Virtual Console and a new Art Style game on DSiWare.

This week's games are as follows:

On DSiWare, we have two games: Art Style: BASE 10 (Nintendo, 1-2 players, 500 DSi Points) and Asphalt 4: Elite Racing (Gameloft, 1-4 players, 800 DSi Points). Art Style: BASE 10 is yet another in the Art Style series from Nintendo, so it goes without saying that it'll be worth your money. Asphalt 4 is a racing title that comes over to the DSi after stops on cell phones and the iPod Touch/iPhone. It's a pure racing title and the first one to hit the DSi, but it's certainly no Gran Turismo PSP.

On WiiWare, there are three titles this week; BIT.TRIP.CORE (Gaijin Games, 1-2 players, 600 Wii Points), BUST-A-MOVE Plus! (Taito, 1-2 players, 600 Wii Points) and Heracles Chariot Racing (Neko Entertainment, 1-4 players, 800 Points). BIT.TRIP.CORE is the sequel to the successful BIT.TRIP.BEAT and becomes WiiWare's 100th title. The core (no pun intended) of the game is still the same, but the way you'll be playing BIT.TRIP.CORE is totally different from its predecessor.  This one features bits firing from multiple directions and a stationary, cross shaped element that allows you to shoot out beams of light in certain directions to paddle back bits. Definitely a must-own for anyone who wants a rhythm game with a challenge.

BUST-A-MOVE Plus! is sure to both please people and anger them. The pleasing part comes from the 135 single player stages the game has. The anger? From the fact that there will be 2 DLC packs that add a total of 270 more stages, some people are going to say they should have included that content with the game at release. It's only a matter of time before someone does just that. Heracles Chariot Racing is your basic kart racer, but with a Greek mythology theme. Not totally gold on it, but it has some potential.

On the Virtual Console this week is California Games from the Commodore 64 (1-5 players, 500 Wii Points). A classic title, California Games was one of the first real sports games to be featured on the video game market and was really the forerunner to many of today's extreme sports titles, though the actual game itself isn't that extreme. It's also the only game I can remember that had virtual hacky sack.

California Games was released in April 2008 on the PAL Virtual Console. It, along with BIT.TRIP.CORE, BUST-A-MOVE Plus!, and Heracles Chariot Racing, is available for download off the Wii Shop Channel, while Art Style: BASE 10 and Asphalt 4: Elite Racing are available for download off the DSi Shop Channel.

Check back next week for the latest round of digital releases for the Wii and DSi. Until then, happy gaming!
