If you happen to like tattoo artistry or mini-games, this is your week on the DSi and Wii. There’s one game for each of those tastes, but if you were hoping for a Virtual Console release, you might not be so lucky this time around.

This week’s games are as follows:

On DSiWare, we’ve got Art of Ink (Sabarasa, 1 player, 800 DSi Points), Slingo Quest (MumboJumbo, 1 player, 800 DSi Points) and Escape Trick: The Secret of Rock City Prison (Intenso Co., Ltd, 1 player, 500 DSi Points). Art of Ink is, as you might have guessed, a tattoo parlor simlulator, which has to be a first for any console or handheld … ever. Slingo Quest is 50 levels of the puzzle game Slingo, which apparently mixes slots and bingo together. Escape Trick: The Secret of Rock City Prison, on the other hand, is more traditional puzzles, featuring an inmate trying to get out of their cell and find out the reason why they were mysteriously thrown in the slammer in the first place. Intrigue!

WiiWare has one new title, Play with Birds (Games Farm, 1 player, 500 Wii Points), along with a demo of Fast Draw Showdown (Digital Leisure, 1 player). Play with Birds is a compilation of mini-games that follow the story of a bird hatched in a big city. Yes, it’s more mini-games … expecting something different by now?

In the meantime, we’ve put out an all-points bulletin for the Virtual Console. It was last seen a week ago in the proximity of some classic titles, but hasn’t been heard from since. We’ll keep you informed if it suddenly shows up …

Play with Birds and the demo are available for download off the Wii Shop Channel, while Art of Ink, Slingo Quest and Escape Trick: The Secret of Rock City Prison are available for download off the DSi Shop Channel

Check back next week for the latest round of digital releases for the Wii and DSi. Until then, happy gaming!
