What’s Adam Lambert Doing New Year’s Eve?

“Do you like what you see?” asked Adam Lambert in his American Music Awards debut performance of “For Your Entertainment.” Well, it was a yes or no question. “I bet you thought that I was soft and sweet,” the lyrics continue. “You thought an angel swept you off your feet. Well I’m about to turn up the heat.”

Things did get pretty hot for Adam with ABC, which as a preemptive strike cancelled three scheduled live performances including New Year’s Rockin' Eve, but he was welcomed back this week with pre-taped appearances on the Barbara Walters special, “The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2009,” and “The View,” affording some who didn’t like what they saw on the AMA an idea of his versatility, with a song that better showcases his voice, Pink’s ‘Whataya Want From Me?”

Whatever anyone wants, “it’s not American Idol anymore,” Adam advises us, “this is my career.” And he’ll be rockin’ New Year’s Eve with or without ABC’s blessing, headlining Gridlock New Year’s Eve 2010 at Paramount Picture Studios in Los Angeles, hosted by Pamela Anderson, a 21 and up event. Tickets range from $150 for general admission to $3500 for Main Stage VIP seats. And this time, as he says in "For Your Entertainment," it'll be his show.

"Let’s go, it’s my show, baby, do what I say / Don’t trip off the glitz that I’m gonna display / I told ya, Imma hold ya down until you’re amazed / Give it to ya til your screamin' my name." After this crazy year that turned his life upside down, I have a feeling this will be Adam’s real coming out party.

I tweeted to Adam a few weeks ago that I hope when he goes on tour he considers an age limit…at LEAST 18 and up. That way NO ONE can complain about the sexy adult dancing. But I’m sorry we will probably not get to see the ‘real’ Adam dance on TV anymore and that’s a SHAME on America! He is an AWESOME sexy dancer and I don’t think he’ll repeat the AMA performance anyway. Now I wish I was living back in CA again! He’ll be busy performing there whenever he wants, just wish I could see. You’re lucky peeps out there!!

Much better venue for ADAM … no ‘kiddies’ up past their bedtimes to worry about … just ADULTS having a good time on New Years Eve to appreciate the showmanship & artistry of this TALENTED and GORGEOUS “ENTERTAINER”. New York theme w/o the brutal cold weather too! GO ADAM

  • Oddly, the event has a New York theme. Adam will be on the “Times Square” stage. Don’t know why the link’s not working.

Too bad it isn’t in NYC. I wish he would move to NYC so we could see him more!
