Video Interview: Actress Meital Dohan Remembers Weeds and Previews Monogamy

You never know what might happen when you start a conversation with an actress and the first subject is "nipples."

Fortunately for me, Israeli actress Meital Dohan thought it was funny and the reference apt, considering we were talking about her lascivious run on Showtime's sitcom, Weeds.

"I can say 'nipple,'" she said, "I can't say 'nipples' because I just think one nipple is much better than two nipples. Just think about it."

Okay, so I've thought about it and while I have no idea what she was talking about it, the way she said it still makes me laugh.

She endured my interrogation in order to promote her new film, Monogamy, which opened in theaters nationwide on Friday, March 18. She's one of the stars of the movie, which also stars Chris Messina and Rashida Jones (The Office and Parks and Recreation).

The film, directed by Academy Award nominated director, Dana Adam Shapiro (Murderball) centers around a photographer (Messina) whose job develops into a darkened obsession with his new client—a sultry/sexy exhibitionist (Dohan).  Within days of his wedding, Messina is forced to face his inner demons and the subject of monogamy.

Although Dohan didn't have any scenes with Jones, she said she would in their next movie. Not that they're doing another movie together, she added.

Um, okay.

Does it matter than Dohan's answers to many questions make no connection to the actual question? Heck no. She's charming, delightful and sometimes silly. So who cares that her career plans include ... well, you'll just have to watch and find out.

Dohan starred in the Sony Pictures series Woke Up Dead, received an Israeli Oscar nomination and released a titillating book, Love and Other Bad Habits.
