Vanishing on 7th Street Announces Itself With A Trailer

Part of: There, I Said It!

Take a little bit of Pitch Black, a little I Am Legend, set in the present day, and stir. The results of that concoction may look a little bit like Vanishing on 7th Street. The first trailer for the thriller has arrived and it paints a pretty compelling picture.

What if you woke up and found just about everyone has disappeared? What if day turned to night? What if it was the darkness itself that was spiriting everyone away? Yeah, pretty scary.

This is what happens in this film. Survivors played by Hayden Christensen, Thandie Newton, and John Leguizamo band together to try to continue surviving as they discover that light protects them and the darkness is hunting them.

Brad Anderson, the director behind The Machinist, Session 9, and Transsiberian, seeks to keep his string of intelligent thrillers intact with this outing. This trailer points to that actually happening, even with Christensen in the cast.
