Apparently this was bogus info. I've done some digging to try to figure out who the originator of the press release was. His name is Matthew Fisher.
Now I don't know for certain, but it seems like he is an unpublished screenwriter. If it's who I think it is, he's written quite a few Sci Fi scripts, but as far as I can tell, none have been published.
One of the scripts he's written is titled Superman 5 (go figure). He's also written scripts for Star Trek: Enterprise, Superman (animated).
I don't know what the purpose of this could possibly be, except to get some publicity in some roundabout way.

I watch smallville like every day and when i heard this new movie called the fog came out i was so happy. Also cory said i was wondering to when he was going to fly i mean he should have learned already.

I dont know who wrote the superman returns movie but I am going to pass on seeing this bad idea of a movie.

Actaully Superman CAN fly. Originaly not, but the comic book hero has evolved to the point in which he can fly. Clark Kent in Smallville can already fly as well, he just hasnt realized his potential yet. There have been episodes where he flown, but he was never "himself" to realize that he can. It won't be long until he flies legitly now.

The final episode of Smallville should be one where at the end of the show he realizes he can fly, followed by a 'major' twist with a 'to be continued' ending. Once he knows he can fly, he will be free to help the 'entire' world. This should then continue with a brand new Smallville-esque take on the first of many to come Superman movies. No disrespect to Brandon Routh, but Tom Welling would be better suited to the role he's been preparing for all these years. He would also be easily accepted by fans all over the world.

i love smallvile! i would LOVE to see Clark (Tom) fly... i think it'll be a step up also since he is about to tell lois who he realy is since he can't be with lana...
