Even better than the episodes themselves in many ways are the special features which were made to go along with them, the Directors Dinner where several of the directors sit around and chat about horror films, the Directors Preview where directors tell you about their projects, and the Directors Workshops where directors Coscarelli, Hooper, Gordon and Garris talk about the craft of making horror films. The Directors Dinner is particularly good. Plus if you can't find these on your cable system you can download them from the Showtime website.
Set your DVR for Masters of Horror and you won't be disappointed. This is horror which may scare you, but it's well crafted and more often than you might expect it also makes you think and makes you feel. Look for more reviews as new episodes air.

Showtime announced that they will not be airing the Miike episode. It will make its debut on DVD next Fall.

Wow, when did they make that announcement? Any idea what they''re going to air instead? Considering the extreme nature of some of the episodes they've already aired I can't imagine that it's just the level of violence.
