TV Review: Zoey 101 - The Curse of PCA - Page 2

There's one thing that bugged me and my sister, and that's the school scene. The gang is being chased at the nurse's office, and absolutely no one else was around. There's a boarding school and a huge green ghost and no one realizes this? Anyone see a problem with this?

One more thing that bugs me. The writers have introduced Stacey (Abby Wilde). Stacey is a recurring character since the beginning of season three. She is obsessed with cotton swabs and has the world's most annoying voice. Abby Wilde is a good actress, but her character is flat. If she becomes an official character, I swear I will never watch this show again.

Let's do some good stuff. I was really scared it was going to be lame. The target audience is kids, and I'm pretty sure Nick doesn't want to give the little kiddies nightmares. Now, I wasn't scared; I don't scare very easily. It wasn't lame though. It was pretty good, especially for a Nick scary movie.

I swear I'm going to sound like a broken record. This movie was not only about Jamie. They finally gave Chris Massey something to work with (personally, I think he should ditch this show, and go work with his brother on Cory in the House) and I finally see some character development there. Victoria had her own subplot (which, as my friend from Norway would say, she "owned"). Now, if my favorites Matt and Erin were given a bit more to do, life would be complete.

The scary mountain scenes were wonderful. It took them four days to find around five or ten minutes of film, but it was totally worth it. The gang (minus Lola, who was busy making out with some guy in the lounge) was running from the ghost. The special effects were amazing; I have no idea how they created this storm. The acting (minus Jamie's ankle scene) was wonderful, especially since they are child actors.

All in all, there were some flaws in the movie, but I find flaws in everything. I would recommend this movie, even to people who don't like scary movies. The first night of Nick's Shocktober was excellent; I can't wait to see the rest.
