TV Review: The Secret Circle

Cassie's (Britt Robertson) life is turned upside down when her mother dies in a fire and she is shipped off to live with her grandmother in Chance Harbor, Washington - her mother's hometown. Strange things start happening when she meets a group of teenagers that seem a little to interested in befriending her. During a visit to an abandoned house, Faye (Phoebe Tonkin) blurts out that Cassie is a witch just like them. This leads the six teens on an adventure of a life time while they learn how to control their powers while keeping it a secret from the entire community.

So why is this one of my favorite TV shows? The Secret Circle is an action packed mystery show centered around supernatural powers. So, jump on over to CW's site to catch every episode from the beginning.

Oh, you mean you need more reasons than that to watch the show?

The actors are amazing. The special effects are above par. The story line will keep you coming back for more. The Secret Circle was created by L.J. Smith. That's right, the same creator as The Vampire Diaries. And the La da da da da. Da da da da da. La daaa da daaa da daaa sound is so eerily creepy that you'll have it stuck in your head for hours.

Magic. Destruction. Curses. Death.

You should be watching the show by now so why are you still here reading?

Ok, a few more things you should know about The Secret Circle.

A few episodes involve a demon - surprisingly it looks like a snake - slithering its way into unsuspecting people which leads to the death of one of the characters. Oh, and did I mention that the teens' parents and grandparents are witches, and the parents were stripped of their powers due to an unfortunate incident at a boat dock. And there's lots of romantic tension between many of the characters so this appeals to guys and gals alike. Plus it reminds me of The Craft - a movie about witchcraft, and a childhood favorite of mine.
