Disney Channel has had some successful ideas in the past few years – new shows such as The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and Hannah Montana, great movie successes like High School Musical, and the Disney Channel Games where Disney stars compete in various tasks. Their newest success? Disney Channel took its three biggest shows and combined them into one episode called That's So Suite Life of Hannah Montana. The show took characters from the shows That's So Raven, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, and Hannah Montana. The crossover was a special event airing for one night only.
The first show is called That's So Raven. Raven is the longest running show ever on Disney Channel. The show stars Raven-Symone, the famous teen idol and the former cute kid on The Cosby Show. She plays Raven Baxter, a teenaged girl who can see the future. Sadly, she can't always get it right. She ends up assuming things she doesn't know for sure and gets in a lot of trouble because of it.
Another show featured in the special is The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. This show follows the lives of twins (Dylan and Cole Sprouse) who live in a hotel. Their mom (Kim Rhodes) is a singer at the hotel, so they get a free ride. They regularly stir up a lot of trouble at the hotel, the Tipton, driving the hotel manager, Mr. Moesby (Phil Lewis), up a wall. The hotel heiress, played by Brenda Song, is a mini-Paris Hilton. It makes sense – the writers named her London Tipton. The last main character is Maddie, played by Ashley Tisdale, also seen as Sharpay in High School Musical. Maddie is the down-to-earth candy counter girl. She's a friend to Zack and Cody, the twins, but sometimes ends up getting them into trouble.
The last show (and the newest) in the crossover is Hannah Montana. Miley Cyrus plays Miley Stewart, a girl who is secretly a teen pop idol. In order to be treated like a normal girl, Miley devised a secret identity so she can do what she loves, but not be recognized. Although this may come in handy, it gets pretty frustrating not to be able to tell your best friends. Miley – er, Hannah – encounters many problems, like when her best guy friend develops a crush on her. Miley Cyrus sings her own songs, including "Best of Both Worlds", "The Other Side of Me", and "Who Said". These are available on iTunes.
So how do these completely different shows – one about a psychic, one about twins who live in a hotel, and one about a girl who is really a famous singer – come together? First, the story focuses on Raven. Raven designs her own chic and trendy clothes, so she is ecstatic when she is offered the opportunity to stay at the Tipton Hotel in Boston to work for a fashion designer. There, she meets Maddie and London. She and Maddie become friends right away.

I am the mother of an 8 year old girl who is now crying her eyes out because our attempt to tape this "one time" event was unsuccesful. It makes me sick to think of all the other kids who fell for the hype and were not able to view the movie. If it is not made available by dvd I am canceling our Cabel subscription. This is just unacceptable.
