TV Review: Survivor: Guatemala - Week Eleven - Page 2

Part of: Survivor

Back at camp, Lydia bitches and moans, Stephenie just bitches. Really, seriously, shows her inner bitch. The rest of the "camp politics" are just more of the same. No way Gary stays unless he wins immunity.

Immunity Challenge

Short term memory challenge of sorts. I'll spare you the details, but in the end...

Rafe Wins Immunity!

For the second week running I say: So what? Rafe isn't even on the radar of elimination at this point, so ya gotta figure that Gary is toast.

The Politics Of Elimination - Who Goes Next?

Despite giving it his all, Gary is coming up short. The old alliance of six is now the alliance of four with Lydia, Danni, and Gary being the odd folks out. Easy pickings. Is there any suspense? No, not a shred.

We do get the quote of the show during this segment:

"Who'd have thought that a little gay
Mormon would be winning these challenges?"
- Rafe

Note to self: Get a life.

Tribal Council

Judd waxes on and on about how everybody but him "lies". Gary points out the glaring error in this: "The stone idol is hidden on the ground somewhere" - Judd (knowing that it was hidden in a tree). Hilarity ensues. They vote...

Gary Hogeboom is Voted Out Of The Jungle

If the directors of this show don't get their shit together, wait, they don't need to, this is the last season. Even so, it's a sad way to close out the longest running "reality show". With six contestants remaining, I only have to sit through a few more shows. This is good.

Random Notes: Rafe is cool, a very funny guy. Stephenie's eyebrows still creep me out. They should have had a Mayan football throwing contest at some point. Where's Ashley when you need her?

Note to self: Get a life!

CBS has put together a really nice website for this season's show at SURVIVOR. Be sure to take a look at the individual contestant's profiles. Beautiful pictures of the Mayan ruins are used as the background to each of the contestant's "favorites" and "bio" information.

Check back next week for more Survivor results!

Stephanie was amazing. Every time I think I am immune to her bitchiness, she surpasses even that level. She has had three reward meals and so Lydia, who has had none, knocks her out of the reward challenge first. Stephanie is furious because Gary has also had three reward meals. So tie goes in Steph's favor and she has a right to bitch when Lydia doesn't know that? They head back to camp and Steph "sets them straight" right away. Intentionally bitchy.

It looked like Gary really thought exposing Judd's "lie" at tribal council would swing the votes. By tribal council, it's too late.

Gary was the sole remaining reason to watch this show. I am sorry he is gone.

THAT is the stone cold truth, Justene. No reason left at all. Shallow personalities mostly, and really poor directing.

    The king is dead.

    Stay tuned for the funeral.

I used to love Steph! Now she acts like the Queen Bee, and has turned into a real bitch! I feel sorry for Lydia. She gives her all, and trys to very hard. I also like Danni. Rafe is okay. But the others, especially Steph, really turn me off.
