TV Review: Survivor 14: Fiji, Who's Up for a Shake-Up?

By Tina M. Courtney

It’s been almost two weeks since the last Survivor:Fiji showdown, and everything has changed. This week, the tribes threw down their buffs and started anew, creating brand new Ravu and Moto tribes. Some finally have it all, and some still have nothing. Some (like Rocky) are still throwing tantrums, and one weak little worker bee has no more fire. Anthony is the next to be sent home, and frankly, he dug his own grave. Any wagers on who’s next?

Jeff shocked the whole lot of ‘em when he announced it was time to re-divide and conquer. Earl and Ed volunteered to be the leaders, and each selected their brand new teams. Folks like Rocky and Mookie stayed on the have not camp, while lucky ducks like Yao-Man and Michelle had their first taste of, well, real food. Lisi, with her less than stellar physical abilities and atrocious attitude, was the last person to be picked, so she received an automatic default to Exile Island. Before her exit, however, she whined up a storm and threw in the proverbial towel. Then we saw her boohoo some more on Exile, not giving a hoot about her vivid immunity isle clues. Can someone just put this girl out of her misery?

Each team received a house-warming gift consisting of a smattering of food and champagne. This replaced the standard first challenge, but provided plenty of time for gossip and maneuvering. Right from the start, Anthony appeared severely endangered. His team consists of only the boys, and most are beefy and lean. Not so much for Anthony. As they set out to find food each day, he stayed behind to tend to the fire. This isn’t rocket science – if you don’t place nice and work hard, you lose your fire. Period.
