WARNING: REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS!
After season three, which literally left a bitter taste of yuck stuck in my mouth, it was good to see a Zoey 101 episode that, well, didn't suck. Almost every single episode of season three sucked and I was convinced that this show was completely going downhill. They lost some great actresses, Kristin Herrera (Dana) and Alexa Nikolas (Nicole) after the first two seasons. The talent (minus knocked-up Jamie Lynn Spears who only got the show because of her perfect big sister) was great, the story lines were amusing, but yet something wasn't right.
Season four addressed the end of season three cliffhanger. Zoey (Spears) left PCA to live in London. Zoey, the world's most oblivious person when it comes to love (and this is including me, who got asked out four times by guys she liked and didn't realize it), had not realized that her best guy friend, Chase, (Sean Flynn) was in love with her for one two three years. After Zoey left, Chase accidently admitted he loved her (finally) via webcam.
Yeah, that season three cliffhanger sucked. In the season four premiere, Zoey comes back to reveal her feelings for Chase, only to find that Chase went to live in London with Zoey. Ouch. Zoey and Chase told each other they loved each other, but they discontinued their relationship due to the distance. Sean Flynn officially left the cast. It was sad. Sean Flynn's a great actor, and it's a shame to lose him.
The first three episodes were surprisingly good, consideing Sean wasn't there. I was pleased, but it still didn't compare to season two. After tonight's episode, I'm convinced that season four is going to be going to be their best season ever. The acting was absolutely superb (and I'm including society's oh-so-perfect role model, Ms. Spears), the script was funny, and Nick hired a brand new series regular, Austin Butler.
PCA is a boarding school, and Chase's old roommates Michael (Chris Massey) and Logan (Matt Underwood) had not gotten over Chase leaving. (They kept acting like he died or something. Geez.) They were told that they are getting a new roommate, Jimmy "James" Garrett (Butler), and when they search him on the Internet, he seems like a total nerd (I'm not exactly sure what is wrong with that), but upon meeting him, he turns out to be a nice, smart, loveable, insanely hot guy (who challenges Logan's hottest hottie status). They find it's hard to hate James, but they can't possibly like him! He's not Chase.

hey there! Just stumbled on this.. :P anyway, wow, all i can say is wow. I can't believe that's gonna happen in season four. Though, I guess even if I haven't seen it, I can agree it's one of the best episodes. I'm just wondering if they could finish (the season) since Jaimie's pregnant already at all. Hope they do. I really love to show. And it's nice to know that it's getting better since it got really crappy before. Though, I'm gonna miss Sean Flynn, I really like him, and my friends do as well. :( Oh well, I believe he'll come back somehow. i just can't help to wish, Alexa and Kristen will as well, though it's kinda hard to believe that it will happen.
Anyway, I salute your review, and I hope you update your fics soon! looking forward for it.

I remember you reading my fan fics. According to the press releases I received from Nick, they are finishing out the season, despite Jamie's pregnancy. It is the last season though. Probably won't update my fics. I like reviewing the show more than writing fan fics. I'm also working on a novel, so all of my creativeness is going there.
