I've watched every season of NBC's Last Comic Standing, and though the show has lost a bit of its touch, it's still one of the most entertaining competitive reality shows on television--thanks largely to its talented comedians.
I am without a doubt missing the drama of the past seasons--they used to have the comics live in a nice big house and add a really dramatic Real World aspect to the show, which was always the best part. Especially when you have juicy "characters" like the manipulative Ant and the aggressive Gary Gullman.
Now they have the contestants living in hotel rooms where they're more secluded from each other, and the drama is therefore less so. We get to see a lot less interaction between them which makes a more boring reality show. That and I miss the charismatic and attractive host Jay Mohr that added that last button to the jacket.
With all of that said, I still love Last Comic Standing. The comic talent this year is still fantastic and I've even got a few favorites. I've never been a fan of Ty Barnett or Chris Porter (even though he did great in the roast of ousted contestant Gabriel), but I absolutely love the rest of the comics.
Even though Roz's yelling gets annoying after a while (at least her voice is less annoying than Joey Gay's) there's no denying her jokes are brilliant. 10 minutes watching Roz and I'm in stitches. Her fat jokes and cracks about her past drug addiction are gut busters. New Yorker Michelle Balan has the best delivery out of all the comics. Even if sometimes her jokes aren't necessarily the funniest (which they usually are), her blunt and smoky delivery is always enjoyable. But my absolute favorite is the adorable Josh Blue.
Never in my life did I think I'd have a crush on a guy with cerebal palsy, but here he is. I'm making a prediction right now--Josh Blue for season four's Last Comic Standing. America loves an underdog--and, if he isn't it, I don't know who is. He has a distinct comic style and delivery that, if anyone else attempted, they'd insufferably crash and burn. When he first starts you're a bit uncomfortable because you don't know whether to laugh or feel sorry for him, but once he starts making fun of his own disability--you can't help but laugh along with him.
Here's a clip of the hilarious Josh Blue:

I've also followed "Last Comic Standing" since its inception. I'm not a big fan of the current host, Anthony Clark, who is a bit too serious in his hosting -- the man is supposed to be a comedian. The show's pacing is pretty bad. You get a few minutes of comedy followed by commercials and on for the duration of the hour. There's maybe 30 minutes of content and the rest is filler. I too think Josh Blue is going to win. He's pretty damn funny.

I just adore watching and listening to Josh and laughing along with him. I sure hope he wins. He deserves it and he is the only one that I've ever watched that I would really pay to go see. Being a single mom, $ can be slim pickins but my son and I love hearing Josh go at it. WAY TO GO, JOSH!! I'M PICKING YOU AS A WINNER AS WELL :-)

Anthony Clark is painful to watch. He has yet to make me even think about cracking a smile. I have grown to despise him during his hosting stink. Get a card board cut out next season. Brooke Burk can read cue cards better than Anthony Milquetoast Clark.
