"I'm almost always eventually right."
I have no use for Emmy predictions. Voters for any awards are an unpredictable bunch, and I hate to be wrong. More importantly, and slightly less egocentrically, I don't watch enough of the likely candidates to have an informed opinion. So I wasn't trying to make a prediction back when I wrote about "Autopsy" and kept referring to the Emmys. But as the season comes to an end and the nominations approach, if I were to make predictions, I'd put money on that episode by Lawrence Kaplow as the show's best bet for another writing nod. (Hello Canada Revenue Agency. I'm speaking metaphorically. No actual bets were placed in the writing of this review.) Now, 22 fine episodes later, there's an additional contender for my wager. That is, if I made predictions. Or bets.…

Diane,
.
I guess the reason I don't see it as a cliffhanger is because House itself is so unique that ignoring the cliffhanging elements is exactly the kind of odd thing it would do.
In any case, I sure hope they don't try and "top" the show (the existential hallucination of the "shootee", right?). At least, not until the end of the season

Yeah, just saw this episode last night, only aired last night in NZ. man was it good.
i never liked House before, and sadly the last episode of season 2 was what converted me. straight from when he got shot i decided to keep watching. and now im convinced in seeing more of this show. i dont know quite if any of the episodes will stand up to the insanity that was that one though.
Cheers also for the Plot Synopsis, and whatnot, quite indepth.
Good Job.

Just saw the repeat last night and something sticks in my mind. Don't know if it has any significance.
In the opening scene, when the shooter is trying to find out which one of the doctors is House, he apparently has had dealings with Cameron before. When he asks which one is House, House says something like "The tall brunette" while indicating Cameron, to which the shooter says, "No, that's Dr. Cameron."

Yeah, I think the guy was telling the truth at the very beginning, when he said he was a former patient, and it must have been when Cameron was working there. And it is completely believable that someone could be a patient of House's and never lay eyes on the man himself!
