Even Cate is aware of the fact that House likes her. When she confronts House with the fact that he has spent more time with her than he has with any other patient, House apologizes. While it may have been a small triumph for her, it was a little sad to watch. Instead of admitting that he likes her, House apologizes – almost as if he was sorry for inflicting himself on her. This speaks volumes for House’s self-esteem and for what I suspect is a reason why he is such a sexy, compelling character. All of his brusqueness masks a damaged psyche underneath; one that women all over the world would love to heal and nurture. Combine that with good looks, a genius intellect, musical talent, and smoldering masculinity – that’s how sex symbols are born.
The biopsy reveals that Cate does not have cancer, but of course her symptoms are getting worse. The pain that started on her right side is now on her left, and she eventually goes into a coma, indicating that there is pressure in her brain. Of course, given the distance, they cannot adequately diagnose that, so House has to convince one of Cate’s coworkers to test for it by tasting her urine. The co-worker agrees to do it, and House realizes that this mechanic is in love with her. The urine test shows that there is pressure in the brain, and the mechanic is again enlisted to help Cate by drilling a hole in her head to relieve the pressure. Cate comes to, but the cause for her illness is still unknown.
House needs the whole team to come up with the correct diagnosis. They had failed at their quest for cable, and House laces into them, telling them that it was not so much getting cable that he was after, but the need for someone to stop playing his games and stand up to him. He doesn’t want his staff to go along with every idea he has but to question him and to come up with new ideas of their own. In Cate’s case, it is Kutner who eventually stands up to House and correctly diagnoses fat emboli creeping into her system causing blockages. House would have noticed during her naked exam but remembers that he did not see her feet.

I am a fan of House and I am also a member of the Old Antarctic Explorers Association (OAEA)and we have 1300 members. Many of us watched the episode of House because of our own Antarctic Experience. Many of us are also in our 60, 70s, and 80s. Interesting to note that the Weather Channel is airing reruns this week of the real South Pole doctors breast cabcer illness that required consultation by satellite and the plumber who assisted with her breast biopsy.

I loved "Frozen" main reason was less sights of the newbies. I loved Cate in this episode but don't think she should return..there has been rumors on it through but house has too many love interests on ths show already and there is way too many people on the show already. I really don't want to see a sappy soap opera I have had enough of that sort of stuff already. She seems to be a forgettable character though because she seemed too perfect. I feel very bad for house though.
