TV Review: Eureka - "All the Rage"

Part of: Eureka

It wasn't long ago that several citizens in the town of Eureka went through a change. After coming back from a time warp, they found their way back to the same place, but with subtle differences. The problem is, only they know the truth.

Take Dr. Trevor Grant (James Callis), for example. He returns to 2010 from 1947 to discover the accomplishments he is known for are out the window since he never made them in the first place. The only way back is a gadget which functions as a bridge, and it doesn't work at the moment. Trevor, however, isn't the only one with problems.

Dr. Douglas Fargo (Neil Grayston) finds himself at the head of Global Dynamics, the science lab which employs most of the townspeople. Included among these is Isaac Parrish (Wil Wheaton, Star Trek: The Next Generation). Parrish is a scientist who works in Section 3, and to say he is unhappy in his work is an understatement. Some of his grouchiness comes from feeling underappreciated, despite apparently being good at what he does.

After GD personnel start getting way too aggressive, the thought is that Parrish is somehow to blame. He is, but not in the way one might think. Jack (Colin Ferguson), Allison (Salli Richardson Whitfield), and Jo (Erica Cerra) must try and fix things before all implodes.

Changes on the scientific front can be fixed. Personal issues, however, are not so easy to take care of. Some folks find they have relationship issues not encountered before. Henry (Joe Morton) is married after experiencing life in 1947. He has never met Grace Monroe (Tembi Locke), although she has a vague idea of his acting in a way which is not like her husband. Of course not, because he isn't. The chemistry between them works, however.
