Gabrielle has to visit Carlos to have him sign any checks she needs written. There is a lot of tension between them. Apparently a guy is harassing Carlos for some money that Gabrielle is to deliver to his girlfriend—for a boob job. I’m ready for something new to happen with Gabrielle. The tidbits we get when she visits Carlos are getting old, and they aren’t really that compelling of a storyline either. But I am glad she told that girl not to get a boob job if she didn’t want it. Rock on Gabrielle!
Once again we see the chained up hands in the basement of the Applewhites. Betty mentions that part of “his” punishment is they don’t speak to him. Susan confronts Betty about weird noises from the basement, but Betty’s cover is blown making Susan even more suspicious. Betty goes to a shrink and tells the tale of her husband killing her baby many years ago and having trouble sleeping—to get a prescription. Naturally the idea is to shut up whoever is in the basement.
So just who is in the basement? There is discussion as to the hands being black or white and who they might belong to…is it a bad child, a husband, or even Zach Young? What do you think?

ABC has a new feature on the Desperate Housewives site: Confessions of a Desperate Housewife. So head over to the site, get your video camera ready, and get to confessing!

I think the person locked in the basement is Betty's abusive husband.
Zach? I think he'll be back at the end of the season.
Erin, you'll have to get in line to move in with Mike. I think just about every woman in America would fight for that opportunity.
And how freakin' much did I like Carlos getting beat up?

I know I'll have to wait in line. But it was worth the attempt, right? I definately think Zach will be back sometime during the season.

Watch this if you want to lose excessive amounts of brain cells.

Sometimes that's the joy of television, you don't have to do anything and can zone out and escape reality for 30 minutes or an hour. It is entertaining, no one said it was educational.
However, considering it received the highest ratings of any tv show on Sunday nights- I'd say lots of people are watching Desperate Housewives
