"You Could Drive A Person Crazy"
Desperate Housewives season premiere last week was watched by more than 28 million people. This won the spot of the most watched show the first Sunday of the Fall TV season on any network.
Susan’s ex-husband, Karl, comes out of Edie’s house to collect the paper in the morning—and gets caught red-handed by none other than Susan. Susan has a problem and doesn’t want Karl to flaunt his “sexcapades” in front of her or their daughter. But naturally her daughter already knows Edie and Karl have been dating. And of course there has to be a conflict between Edie and Susan over the matter ending with Susan accidentally backing over Edie. I think Karl is doing this just to piss off Susan.
Mike goes to Susan’s to collect some things he left there. He finally asks where they stand to which Susan replies they can do casual things and avoids a kiss. I wish Susan would give him a chance to explain his side of everything and what he wants too. If not, I’ll willingly move in with him—I don’t care what his secrets are!
Despite Wisteria Lane’s perfect appearance, this episode showed that it is full of flaws. Lynette’s home is a pigsty because Tom doesn’t clean everyday. There are flies in the kitchen. So after a long day at work, Lynette comes home to the night shift and cleans. To make her point, she buys a rat and sets it loose in the house. Will she have to trick Tom into being a good “housewife” or will things change again?
Bree and her mother-in-law are at the dry cleaner to pick up some clothes. Rex’s mother, Phyllis makes a scene about how distraught she is, while Bree manages to keep her cool. This is a common occurrence. Bree finally tells Phyllis she needs consoling too—but apparently Bree is stoic to the point of being cold and that’s upsets people because she doesn’t cry.
Rex’s doctor finds the note he wrote forgiving Bree. Due to her stoic nature, this sends up all sorts of suspicions around Bree. With the perfect timing that only television has, George shows up to sweep Bree off her feet, stirring up even more speculation as to just how much Bree is mourning over Rex’s death—or if she played a role in it. Suspecting Bree of killing Rex will probably help keep more of a focus on her for a while, much like the end of the first season.

I think the person locked in the basement is Betty's abusive husband.
Zach? I think he'll be back at the end of the season.
Erin, you'll have to get in line to move in with Mike. I think just about every woman in America would fight for that opportunity.
And how freakin' much did I like Carlos getting beat up?

I know I'll have to wait in line. But it was worth the attempt, right? I definately think Zach will be back sometime during the season.

Watch this if you want to lose excessive amounts of brain cells.

Sometimes that's the joy of television, you don't have to do anything and can zone out and escape reality for 30 minutes or an hour. It is entertaining, no one said it was educational.
However, considering it received the highest ratings of any tv show on Sunday nights- I'd say lots of people are watching Desperate Housewives
