TV Review: CSI:NY

CSI:NY "Zoo York"

A group of teenagers, who have just snatched someone's purse, run from the zoo employee chasing them. As they round the corner towards the tiger pit, they suddenly stop as a large crowd runs towards them, screaming. A tiger appears to be mauling someone to death at the bottom of the tiger pit. Zookeepers arrive on the scene with shotguns. Once they kill the tiger, police are called.

Danny and Mac arrive to begin processing. Since the tiger left some human remains behind, most of the victim is in the tiger. Lindsay Monroe, a transfer from Montana, arrives and she introduces herself to Mac Taylor. Danny introduces himself and tells her "Call him sir" referring to Taylor. She has no idea Danny's testing her. When Mac suggests she not use that title with him, she glances at Danny with a bewildered look. Later, she holds her own when she responds in kind to a smart remark from from Danny. He notices and silently gives her some deserved respect.

Lindsay impresses Mac when she slams a suspect up against a car after he has gotten away from him. "What do they feed you in Montana?" Mac asks.

Stella and Hawkes are called to the murder scene of a young woman in a white gown. They find a missing button which does not belong to the dress. Evan shows them that the victim's shoes are two sizes too small. There is also a puncture wound in her upper lip which might help explain how she died.

It turns out that the woman was a debutante, and she was killed by another debutante's mother. Tanya Danville, a woman who "came out" at the same time as Briana's mother, killed in revenge for Briana's mother having married Tonya's boyfriend.

Felix Parker, a zoo employee, killed Bobby Venetti. However, Felix Parker is now missing. Mac suspects Bobby's uncle, Angelo Venetti, is behind Parker's disappearance, but needs evidence to prove it.
