Of course, two members of the Bartowski family are spies according to Chuck mythology. How long before viewers find out Ellie has a connection as well? I'm guessing, but it would make sense. Everyone who is a part of Chuck's life is potentially a spy. Bryce Larkin (Matthew Bomer), his college roommate, is CIA. Jill Roberts (Jordana Brewster, The Fast and The Furious), Chuck's former girlfriend, is FULCRUM. Somebody needs to kill her before too long. She knows Chuck works for the government on the opposite side. I get the impression she might have already tipped someone off. The connection between these three is Stanford, where they got degrees. Drew (Brian Kubach, Wizards of Waverly Place), the interviewer at the Roark Institute where Chuck went undercover on a mission ("Chuck Versus the Dream Job"), is Stanford too. I keep expecting him to show up again sometime.
Speaking of unique relationships, ORION has one with Ted Roark (Chevy Chase). They used to be business partners. Roark works for Fulcrum. This is not unlike Bryce and Chuck, except they work for the good guys. I will say this — Matthew Bomer, who plays Larkin from time to time, is solid as the dark in personality agent who viewers are never quite sure of. He starts Chuck on the road to spydom ("Pilot") but also manages to get his roomie kicked out of Stanford for cheating! Nice guy. Like Casey, he'll also fight to keep Chuck alive. He's responsible in an even bigger way.
The main source of conflict between Larkin and Chuck, though, is Sarah. Chuck absolutely adores her and knows she is probably the person whom he should turn to first if he wants anything. Plus, she's beautiful. Most men would never have a chance with her, especially a nerd who spends his life fixing things. Bryce is the male counterpart of Sarah. He can walk into a room and have eyes instantly on him, even if conversation does not stop. These two were partners a couple of times, and more than just professionally. As Casey once said, everyone sleeps with Bryce. I tend to assume he was referring to women.
