Poor Chuck! With Christmas coming, and he had a holdup at the store to deal with. Even worse, his friends and family were there in the Buy More too. I have to hand it to the writers, putting everyone who has been a part of this season in one episode could have been overkill. They wisely moved the focus around slowly so as to not confuse viewers too much.
Zachary Levi has always played Chuck with a decent mix of nice guy next door and adventuresome secret agent. While he doesn't have the mental toughness of Casey (Adam Baldwin), he is smart enough to talk himself out of whatever mess he manages to get himself into. This time his efforts backfired and he found himself alone with the hostage taker. Why? Because FULCRUM, the agency filled with rouge intelligence operatives, set the whole thing up. Casey and Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski) must step in before Chuck lands in enemy territory.
The only person missing from the episode was Bryce Larkin (Matthew Bomer). Considering that he stole the Intersect out of FULCRUM's hands long ago, that would be a good thing. I wonder, though, how long it took FULCRUM to figure out Bryce was the culprit. Finding him won't be easy. Bryce has always been good at his job. Could he return before the season is up? Of course, especially the way storylines have played out.
Anything's possible with this show, but I have some ideas as to where upcoming episodes could lead.
Anna (Julia Ling) and Morgan (Joshua Gomez) are going through relationship issues. She wanted them to move in together, but he wasn't really sure he was ready to give up his bachelor lifestyle ("Chuck vs. the DeLorean"). This week she shared a kiss with Lester (Vik Sahay) as a new kink. Poor Morgan, he doesn't realize she hated it. All he saw was the liplock.

Oops! Of course, if Casey HAD marital arts instruction, maybe he wouldn't be alone now. LOL
