This duet of "Lady", if you closed your eyes and plugged your ears, might barely pass as a power ballad. And there is no such thing as a power ballad in Heavy Metal, especially when both Hal and Dennis walked into the audience and sang a portion of their segment to their own 'lady'. The whole performance was too sticky sweet for my taste, but they sure looked like they had a good time doing it and that should account for something.
Marie's opinion was, "The two of you sound great together. You went out with a bang." Little Richard opined with "I think you should be the one." David Foster was generous with his remarks as well. "I'm sorry this is over. I'm beginning to really like you. You earned the right to sing with those two singers tonight."
And with those notes, the performance section of the show was completed. Wayne Brady reminded everybody to vote for who they thought should win. Then, "Come back for the final show of the series," he said. "The whole cast will be back, plus surprise guests, special performance, and of course, we'll reveal the winner. Who's it gonna be?"
So, will it be Lucy Lawless, Hal Sparks, or Alfonso Ribeiro who takes the crown and prize money for their charity? Anyone have a three-sided coin?
