Alan and Claire talk once the client leaves, one gets an impression of Claire's personality when she calls Alan a 'horny toad'.
Back at the office, Assistant District Attorney Jonathan Winant (Tyler Labine, Invasion) comes to see Jeffrey. He says that if Jeffrey ever steps over the line with this case, he will be arrested for obstruction of justice.
Denny is stunned when he meets his date. She is three feet tall.
When Brad and Denise catch a news report on the judge's circumstances, Jeffrey enters and tells Denise they are needed elsewhere. Brad stops him, saying he does not appreciate the mockery he was previously subjected to. Jeffrey states he will stay away by several yards.
Alan, meanwhile, talks to his client's employer. The man says his employee was using the women's restroom. A return to the job would require staying in the men's.
Bethany, Denny's date, tells him she is excited to meet him, since he has been an inspiration. He says they need to stop seeing each other. When she asks why, he says marriage to a short person could cause some serious problems.
Denise and Jeffrey speak to the mother of their client (Katey Sagal, in a guest starring role). He says her son may be arrested, if the real killer is not caught. She offers to go to prison if it will keep her son out. He wonders aloud if she is the real killer. Now there's an idea....
When Denny talks to Alan alone, he brings up the date. Alan asks him if she followed him. Denny glances down, and Bethany is standing there. She is a lawyer, and has filed an official complaint.
Jeffrey and Denise find out a restraining order was issued by the judge's husband. The case becomes interesting when the offender is discovered to be a Peeping Tom. He saw the judge and their client having sex. Jeffrey gets a phone call saying their client has been arrested.
Alan and Claire tell Clarice what the employer said. He decides to find another job.
In the courthouse elevator, Jeffrey tells his client's mother her son is being tried in the court of public opinion. The press is in a feeding frenzy, which the judge quickly brings to a standstill. Jeffrey tells his client not to say anything as he is taken away. The ADA gives Jeffery a tape of evidence.
