Both Denny and Barry are in the courtroom when Alan starts his questioning. Since Barry is Denny's equal in horniness, they caress Courtney's legs under the defense table. She notices, and secretly adjusts their positions until the two men are holding each other's hands. It comes to their attention several minutes later, when they let go in horrified silence.
Back in Boston, Brad goes to see the Assistant District Attorney, since dropping charges against Hannah can only come from that office. Much to his dismay, it's Holly Raines, who once interviewed for a position with Crane, Poole, and Schmidt in "Breast in Show." During the interview with Brad, he was not giving her his undivided attention. She left when she realized it, but never forgot the incident.
Holly forces Brad down on his knees to beg for her help, and to call her a "beautiful goddess." Poor thing! When he made partner, Denny had him kneel to be dubbed a member of the sacred circle officially in "The Cancer Man Can." Only afterwards does Holly agree to a plea deal, allowing Hannah to serve a short sentence in a juvenile detention center.
Beth, Brad's sister, comes to his office in a rage. She planned to hire another attorney after finding out Hannah had a part in Ryan's death. Beth wants another teenager implicated. Brad bluntly tells her he is willing to risk their already fractured relationship by continuing. Taking even more of a risk, Brad tells Beth her daughter isn't perfect, and her problems have to be dealt with.
The Boston Legal writers put this script together well. Yes, Brad can be a bit overprotective. It comes from his military training. Although he clearly loves his sister, he knows Beth shouldn't pretend nothing happened. Beth needs to trust him, and he is the one person who can give her a reality check. Hannah will listen to him more easily about responsibility than she would if her parents said it.
Paul Lewiston (Rene Auberjonois) talks to Denise. He says her chances of making partner now are greatly diminished. Shirley takes Marlene and Denise into her office. She tells Marlene being new is no excuse for unprofessional behavior, and she will be watched closely. Denise is asked to stay behind.
Denise is shocked to know she will not be making partner. When she tries to say Alan gets away with worse, the comparison does not help. Shirley and Paul tell her she works in a law firm, not a family. Shirley says Marlene was hired because she was bringing big money clients with her. It didn't make sense for Denise to compete.

Two complete seasons now and still no cameo appearance of another ATTORNEY from "The Practice"
That's almost as utterly PATHETIC as the fact that BL will be out on DVD before any season of The Practice hits DVD.

Considering the finale was two hours, I had to put it into two articles just to avoid making it super long.
