Season Finale Part 2
When Denny Crane (William Shatner) and Alan Shore (James Spader) go anywhere, trouble always seems to follow. Right before they left, Denny promised Shirley Schmidt (Candice Bergen) everything would be fine. Oops, spoke too soon!
It's bad enough after Alan finds out Denny has put him in his living will as the person with power of attorney. These two are good friends, but he is now in the uncomfortable position of deciding what to do if Denny's Alzheimer's gets to the point where he can no longer function on his own. Worse yet, the first time Alan heard of this idea was when Barry, the head of the L.A. bureau (Robert Wagner) asked him to sign Denny's living will.
Alan puts it off for another time. He explains he feels trapped, so Denny offers to be the one responsible in Alan's living will. However, Alan has already made his arrangements.
An awkward situation becomes worse after Courtney Rae, a celebrity (Jeri Ryan) to whom Denny leeringly introduced himself, shoots a photographer (Scott Valentine, Crossing Jordan ) outside a restaurant where the two attorneys are dining.
Back in Boston, Brad Chase (Mark Valley) is in court with his niece, who was arrested on murder charges. Hannah pleads not guilty of killing her friend. The parents of Ryan who died after an overdose are there too. They ask Hannah why she is not speaking to them. Brad knows better than to let Hannah answer. Ryan's parents did not understand the seriousness of depression.
Denise Bauer (Julie Bowen) and Marlene Stanger (Parker Posey) are also in battle, but against one another. Denise knows it is time for firm employees to be considered for partnership, and Marlene just might be in a better position.
To that end, Denise employs some underhanded tactics. Gee, has she been around Alan a little too often? Denise tosses Marlene's BlackBerry in the trash. She does not realize Marlene has a video recording device on it which catches the deed. When Marlene goes to Paul and shows him, he knows she is playing politics. Marlene tells him she lost clients because she was late for an appointment. Denise knew this might happen and stepped in, stealing Marlene's clients.
Back in L.A., Alan knows it will take all his expertise to get his client off. People in the public eye expect to be stalked by lots of papparazzi. Because Courtney had received death threats in the past, she carried a gun in her purse. There are websites which contribute to the problem. People track celebrities and send location directly to these sites. This includes those folks not exactly on the stable side of life.

Two complete seasons now and still no cameo appearance of another ATTORNEY from "The Practice"
That's almost as utterly PATHETIC as the fact that BL will be out on DVD before any season of The Practice hits DVD.

Considering the finale was two hours, I had to put it into two articles just to avoid making it super long.
