All in all, the performances on Idol Gives Back were entertaining and fun. We also saw how other people struggle to survive. Now, I'm the type of person who can, and has, cried because of a commercial (anyone remember the coffee commercial where the son surprises his family by coming home at Christmas? Yep, that one), but I found myself depressed and outraged at how so many people have to live. It shouldn't happen in today's world. I'm glad that American Idol is trying to make a difference. At the end of the evening, Ryan Seacrest stated that over $20 million had already been raised for the selected charities. I'm sure that number has since increased, and we're likely to get an update at the results show.
Back on track - tonight we'll find out who leaves the Idol stage and which seven contestants will stay. And while I think Carly is the one going to go — I've been surprised (and wrong) before.
