When Bree and George meet up the next day, she tells him that she can't see him for a while. Her son needs her, he's troubled by his father's death. George claims to understand and wonders if Andrew shouldn't be in counseling again, maybe even at the camp he'd been sent to previously. Bree states that her son isn't that troubled, but that's always an option if things get worse. Of course, George shows up at Andrew's swim meet, hands Bree a present, receives a grateful hug for his troubles, and Andrew loses his temper, attacking George.
The episode concludes with Mary Alice saying:
"The world is filled with good fathers. How do we recognize them? They're the ones who are missed so terribly that everything falls apart" [cut to Andrew packing his bags and leaving while Bree watches on]
"They're the ones who love us long before we even arrive" [in the conjugal visit trailer, Carlos spoons Gabrielle, placing a hand on her belly]
"They're the ones who come looking for us when we can't find our way home" [Mike and his dog are walking through the park, where he finds the flyer on Zach]
"Yes...the world is filled with good fathers"
[Cut to Lynette crying. Tom asks what's wrong and Lynette replies, "because of me, my son's imaginary friend got crushed by a garbage truck. I am the worst mother in the world." Tom tries to calm his wife, "Honey, he is going to get over this in no time, trust me. And one day, when he is all grown up, you and Parker are going to laugh hysterically about this." Lynette asks "do you really think so?" To which Tom replies "I promise".]
"The best are the ones who make the women in their lives feel like good mothers."
