Lynette continues to struggle adjusting to being the bread-winner for the Scavo family. Her eldest son Parker has found a way to cope - an imaginary friend a la Mary Poppins, Mrs. Mulberry. Tom tries to convince his wife that this is normal. Lynette is nonetheless threatened by the perfectly perfect umbrella-toting make-believe nanny.
Parker becomes insistent that Mrs. Mulberry be given a desk at school. When the request is denied, he jabs his teacher with Mrs. Mulberry's umbrella. Lynette is called in to talk with school officials and begins to sob. She becomes determined to rid her house of the invisible interloper. While Parker sleeps, she takes the umbrella to the trash can. As the garbage collectors complete their rounds, the umbrella falls out of the truck. One thing leads to another and little Parker watches as a car runs over the umbrella — crushing it, and Mrs. Mulberry.
When Bree isn't helping Susan with her crisis of conscience, she's attempting to move forward with her life. Life without Rex now involves George, the scheming pharmacist. Andrew is none too happy about his mother's friend and says as much. In an effort to make everyone more comfortable with one another, Bree invites George to a family dinner. They'll be having fish. Andrew resists the idea that he'll have to sit at the same table as his mother's boyfriend. Always one to get her way, the perfect mom tells the young man that he'll be there, or he won't have the money required for his swim meet entrance fee.
At dinner, George and Andrew seem to be getting along well. Bree steps into the kitchen to help daughter Danielle prepare dessert. While the ladies are out of the room, Andrew quietly taunts George. "Have you ever been with a woman?" he asks. George tells the boy that it's none of his business. Still, Andrew persists. He tells the man of hearing his mother moaning while she was making love with Rex, even going so far as to mimic the sounds she made. When Bree and Danielle return with dessert, George claims to no longer be hungry. Bree takes a bite of her dessert and gives a little moan. Andrew looks at George and mouths "just like that". George demands that Andrew go to his room, asking that Bree back him up but refusing to say why. A clueless Bree declines.
