"My Heart Belongs to Daddy"
The episode opens with Susan and Mike discussing their casual arrangement. Mike isn't happy with the arrangement and tells Susan as much. In order to preserve the relationship, Susan says she'll find a way to resolve her issues with Mike's son, Zach. You remember Zach, don't you? He beat up one woman, held another hostage, and finally fled Wisteria Lane, completely unaware that Mike is his biological father.
Susan begins posting flyers with the missing boy's photo around town. Edie, hobbling over on her broken leg and holding one of the flyers, accuses Susan of being every bit as conniving as she is. Mike and Susan head off to look for the troubled teen. After finding Zach in the park, but not telling Mike of her discovery, Susan consults Bree and Gabrielle. Bree opines that Zach would be much better off in the loving care of Susan and Mike instead of living on the streets. In an effort to do the right thing, Susan tracks down Zach. She buys him lunch and they talk about Zach's options. All he can think about is making things right with Julie, Susan's daughter. Frightened of the possibilities, Susan encourages Zach to search for Paul, the only father Zach has ever known.
Gabrielle, in the meantime, is hellbent on obtaining a conjugal visit with Carlos. The lawyer in charge of the case refuses. Gabrielle won't take no for an answer. However, the lawyer finds her tactics less than reasonable and calls her a bitch. Bad move. They happen to be standing amidst convicts who don't find the attorney's language appropriate. A small riot ensues. Carlos is angry over the sutuation. When isn't he?
The search for a new lawyer begins. Enter Adrian Pasdar as David Bradley, womanizing Attorney at Law. Refusing to take Carlos' case, David turns Gabrielle away, stating that her marriage is doomed. Later, he leaves her a message, recommending a good divorce lawyer. Outraged, Gabrielle high-tails it to his office, where he makes a pass. Eventually, he relents, taking the case. The next day, Gabrielle and Carlos are given time to kiss and make up.
Lynette continues to struggle adjusting to being the bread-winner for the Scavo family. Her eldest son Parker has found a way to cope - an imaginary friend a la Mary Poppins, Mrs. Mulberry. Tom tries to convince his wife that this is normal. Lynette is nonetheless threatened by the perfectly perfect umbrella-toting make-believe nanny.
Parker becomes insistent that Mrs. Mulberry be given a desk at school. When the request is denied, he jabs his teacher with Mrs. Mulberry's umbrella. Lynette is called in to talk with school officials and begins to sob. She becomes determined to rid her house of the invisible interloper. While Parker sleeps, she takes the umbrella to the trash can. As the garbage collectors complete their rounds, the umbrella falls out of the truck. One thing leads to another and little Parker watches as a car runs over the umbrella—crushing it, and Mrs. Mulberry.
When Bree isn't helping Susan with her crisis of conscience, she's attempting to move forward with her life. Life without Rex now involves George, the scheming pharmacist. Andrew is none too happy about his mother's friend and says as much. In an effort to make everyone more comfortable with one another, Bree invites George to a family dinner. They'll be having fish. Andrew resists the idea that he'll have to sit at the same table as his mother's boyfriend. Always one to get her way, the perfect mom tells the young man that he'll be there, or he won't have the money required for his swim meet entrance fee.
