TV Recap: 24 Day Seven, Hour Seven - A Bug's Life - Page 3

Part of: Bauer Power

The poor old CIP device is not so lucky, it does get nailed, it’s busted up pretty good, and tells everyone – “I’m busted up pretty good, I’m not gonna make it out of this hell-hole. Tell everyone what we did here today – tell Spanky to stop over-heating, tell Mad Dog, he still owes me for that time in Rio, tell Sheila that… that I… once loved her… motherboard. Arrgghhh…”

A moment please.

And our moment of silence is abruptly ended as Jack ‘n Tony ‘n Bill encounter the wired up Latham (Renee is escorting the rescued Matobos into the van). They manage to duck and cover enough so that they are not injured, but Latham is now dead. Some story arc for this guy, it begins with a violent crash and kidnapping, and ends in Pink Mist.

And at the FBI headquarters, Sean is all sorts of amazed and shocked. (Is he still getting over Janis telling him to “put a sock in it”? No wait, she told him to “open a fresh socket” as she pushed his rolling away from her.) No, he’s probably used to it, as he plays Edgar to her Chloe. Anyway, while monitoring the Homeland firewall, he sees that the breach has closed. WTF? It closed all by itself? How the… what the… WHAT HAPPENED?

The same questions are being asked at the White House, Allison is pleased that the disaster is averted (save for the unfortunate Plant Manager, John), but now she’s baffled by two things: The Matobos are free, but why does Ule want to come in secret to see her right now? And even more perplexing and worrisome – where the BLEEP is Henry?

Sill not sure if we can trust Ethan, but obviously Vossler is a no-no as he has taken the First Gentleman at gunpoint to see Dubaku, via the trunk of his car.

And Dubaku, that sly devil, has a boo!

It is pretty sweet, huh. I should get 'little Jack' and I can put him with my Yu Shu Lien (Michelle Yeoh)figure from Crouching Tiger. What fun they could have!

'Speaking of pulling things up on computers, when the flunkies need to tell President Taylor that they think they have Dubaku's next target, are they trying to insinuate that her nice flat screen TV is wired in such a way that all Tim or whoever has to do is press a button on a remote and voila - instant disaster simulation graphics are up and shiny clean and ready for action on her TV?'

I'm so glad that you mentioned this! I noticed it right away when I was watching the ep. I loved how Tim just had that remote handy - and an instant flip from "CNB" to the graphic. (I guess you're not supposed to think too deep into the logistics of it all!)
